PHONE AS MODEM VIA BLUETOOTH IN UBUNTU

1. turn on your mobiles bluetooth(bt) and insert ur bt device in ur pc.
2. open a terminal and type this command hcitool scan. this will show ur phones mac address and name.
3. now execute this command sudo hcitool cc your-phone-mac-address.
4. again execute this command sudo hcitool auth your-phone-mac-address.
step 3 and 4 will pair ur mobile with ur pc. you can do that using bt manager. it will appear in the upper right corner in the screen. click on it and click Set up new device.
5. you need to find out ur phones channel number. execute sudo browse your-phone-mac-address.
6. Under "Protocol Descriptor List:" and "RFCOMM", there should be a number after "Channel:". Remember that number; you'll need it for the rfcomm configuration.
7. execute gksudo gedit /etc/bluetooth/rfcomm.conf.
8. Paste the following into the file, replacing your-phone-mac-address and your-phone-rfcomm-channel with appropriate values-
rfcomm0 {
bind yes;
device your-phone-mac-address;
channel your-phone-rfcomm-channel;
comment "Bluetooth PPP Connection";
}
9. you have to bind the phone with ur pc. execute this command -
sudo rfcomm bind 0 your-phone-mac-address your-phone-rfcomm-channel.
If you get the wrong channel (or if the wrong channel was bound at startup as a result of rfcomm.conf) then you need to release it before you can bind it again:
sudo rfcomm release 0
10. Run the following -
gksudo gedit /etc/ppp/peers/BluetoothDialup
11. Paste the following into the file -
debug
noauth
connect "/usr/sbin/chat -v -f /etc/chatscripts/BluetoothDialup"
usepeerdns
/dev/rfcomm0 115200
defaultroute
crtscts
lcp-echo-failure 0
12. Run the following -
gksudo gedit /etc/chatscripts/BluetoothDialup
13. Paste the following into the file replacing your-apn-here and your-data-profile-number-here with correct value-

14. now to connect ur phone as modem execute -
sudo pon BluetoothDialup
15. you will find a new mobile broadband connection in the notification area. if you had any connection previously configured you will see that connection there.you can create a new profile or use existiong profile to connect. just click on the profile.

SAMSUNG GALAXY DUOS REVIEW BY EXPERTS

The phone comes under Galaxy Y series which is especially meant for young professionals to use two different Sims at the same time. However other manufacturers already launched their cheap dual sim android mobiles in the market and we need to see how long Samsung will give tough competition to others and stay in the market forever. I hope that this phone will get good reviews and impressions from android fans and customers. There are many features that this phone can give you. Here are some to get you started.

Display

It comes with 2.6inch TFT capacitive LCD touch screen display (256k colors) with resolution of 400 x 240 pixels (179 ppi pixel density). Due to low 256k colors the fonts will look little blur while you reading the text information. It has little Optical trackpad which helps you to navigate easily into the gallery photos, videos and music folders without any touch on the screen. With the help of QWERTY keypad users can type the messages very fast with two hands. The handset will easily fit in the palm and gives more comfort while holding and answering the phone calls. 

Design

The candybar phone was well designed with curve edges at both bottom and top. One the backside of the phone the panel was made with some plastic material which you can easily remove the panel without much effort. I think it was the only phone which got 11.9m thickness when compared to other mobiles in the same range. Dimensions are 110.8 x 63.5 x 11.9 mm, because of QWERTY keypad the display size was reduced some extent although it was not a big problem for mobile users. Samsung Galaxy Y Pro Duos weighs only 112.3 grams only, this makes you very anxiety to buy this mobile.

OS and User Experience: 

The phone runs with Latest version of Google Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS. But Samsung has didn’t mentioned any further updates will be available for this device. I know it will makes you little sad but at this budget it has got all the features that will really make you happy. On the other hand Samsung has enhanced their touchwiz interface into next level to make interface very much smooth without any lagging. You can easily add multiple widgets in your home screen with just one single touch.

Processor, Ram, Graphics and Internal Storage:

It comes with single core 832 MHz processor but Samsung didn’t mention what kind of processor is using on this phone. According to user reviews the processor performing multitasking excellent and also runs simultaneous apps without any lags. So you don’t need any worry of processor performance. It has 384MB of RAM doing good job but sometimes the phone becomes slow while all resources are using more ram. 

Another thing we need to know is Graphics processor but this time also Samsung has didn’t mentioned in the official site. Users reporting that it can play small graphical games like angry birds, chess, unblock me and fruit ninja. 

While comes to the internal storage it was loaded with 512MB Rom free space available to install the apps in the phone. It can be expandable up to 32GB via Micro SD card slot.

Camera: 

The primary (rear) camera of Samsung Galaxy Y Pro DUOS is 3.2 mega pixel camera with resolution of 2048x1536 pixels. It has front facing 0.3 mega pixel VGA camera to communicate with friends with the help of video calling services. On the other hand it can also support Skype Application which was easy to video chat with your friends.

While we tested the camera in outside, it can take excellent quality pictures on the morning time and in night time and low light conditions the camera quality was not up to the mark because it doesn’t have flash. The images were too noisy and blur.

It can capable of shoot videos at 24 frames per second with 320x240 pixel resolution. You can manually select video formats options and save the videos in both mp4 and 3gp. 

Connectivity: 

The Samsung Galaxy Y Pro Duos has different kinds of connectivity options like Wi-Fi, GPS, 3G, Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP, micro USB 2.0, HSPDA 7.2 mbps, UMTS, Edge, 3.5mm Audio Jack, Fm radio with RDS and Wi-Fi hotspot. With the help of Wi-Fi hotspot technology you can share internet from your phone to other Wi-Fi enabled phones. Many people though wonder if they actually need these features. The answer is that it depends on the individual. IF you use the web a lot on the phone then it may be a great idea to have the Wi-Fi feature. This is because you will be able to link up to the hot spots around the world. 

GPS is great for the people that travel. This is because you will be able to set the destination that you want to go to and this feature will give you the directions step by step so that you do not get lost. Now even if you do not travel very much it is great to have this feature if you ever need it. 

Internet

The native android browser is enough to surf the internet with high speed browsing and downloads. It also supports HTML now you can view the website in full screen mode like Desktop view. And with the help of Adobe Flash support you can play all flash games in online and facebook with city ville, mafia wars and farm ville.

Battery Life

Samsung had increased the battery capacity of the Galaxy Y Pro DUOS phone to stay along enough without charging the phone. The Standard Li-Ion 1350mah battery was doing good job providing excellent battery backup for dual sim network.

SET UP MAIL BOX

  1. Open Messaging Application (Figure 1)
  2. Goto Mail box. It asks you No mailbox defined. Define now? Choose Yes (figure 2)
  3. Mailbox setup wizard will start. Press start to continue
  4. Mailbox Type choose POP3, Press Next ( figure 3)
  5. On next screen type your email address xxx@gmail.com (IMP: press the Pencil Key and highlight your email address then press Copy. This will save you typing) ( figure 4)
  6. Press Next
  7. Enter pop.gmail.com as Incoming mail server, Press Next ( figure 5 )
  8. Enter smtp.gmail.com as Outgoing mail server, Press Next (figure 6 )
  9. Access Point, choose Always ask or your preferred one. press next ( figure 7 )
  10. In Mailbox name keep gmail press next ( figure 8)
  11. Click Finish
  12. Click Option and then Settings
  13. Choose E-mail
  14. Press on Mailboxes and then on Gmail
  15. Press on Connection settings
  16. Press on Incoming e-mail
  17. Enter Username as xxx@gmail.com (You may Press Pencil and then paste)
  18. In Password type your password
  19. Scroll down to security port and choose SSL/TLS
  20. Press Back Button
  21. Select Outgoing e-mail, Enter your username and password as described above
  22. Scroll down to security port and choose SSL/TLS
  23. Hit Back Button twice
  24. Press on User settings
  25. Enter your Name as you want to display and then go back
  26. Goto Retrieval Settings
  27. Click on E-mail to retrieve and change it to size limit and then enter 100KB or whatever you like in next screen. Press OK
  28. Click on Back
  29. If you have unlimited GPRS connection then goto Automatic retrieval and change it otherwise leave as it is.
  30. Click back button multiple times so that you are back to main screen.
  31. Now when you start Messaging Application you will see Gmail Account goto it and retrieve your email.
  32. You can also send email attach images with it etc. Have fun ;)

TURN ON WINDOWS UPDATE EVEN YOU ARE USING PIRATE WINDOWS COPY

THER IS A TOOL IN THE FORM OF UPDATE KB970133 WHICH BYPASS UR SYSTEM AND FINDING THE CRACK.IF U NOT ALLOW TO INSTALL THAT UPDATE WINDOWS CAN'T IDENTIFY THAT YOU ARE SYSTEM IS NOT GENUINE.mirosoft releases windows updates on every second tuesday of each month.it is better to turn off Windows updates and check them out manually on every second Tuesday of each month. Microsoft releases fresh updates for MSRT and other important safety software on the second Tuesday of each month. You can access the Windows Update site using Tools menu in the Internet Explorer. While you are on the Windows Update website, choose Custom option instead of Express and make sure you are not downloading the KB971033 update or any other update related to genuineness of Windows.if you accidently installed KB971033 go to controlpanel->system security->installed updates  (under windows updates,its on windows 7) then find KB971033 on installed updates,right click on KB970133 update and uninstall it.
